Purpose of the app

StrandSight is a personal appearance-recording tool. It helps you create repeatable five-view hair and scalp check-ins, compare available records, and add lifestyle context through optional Daily Care check-ins.

Not medical care

StrandSight is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, disease staging, follicle counts, treatment recommendations, medication advice, or a guaranteed prediction of future hair loss. Scores and appearance ranges can be affected by lighting, angle, hairstyle, hair products, image quality, and the number and spacing of available check-ins.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using images that you have the right to process, following the in-app capture guidance, reviewing results in context, protecting access to your device, and seeking professional care when appropriate. Do not use StrandSight for emergencies.

Free features

The free plan includes the current check-in’s Visible Coverage Score, current saved face-cropped photos when photo saving is enabled, the current key-area finding, photo quality, Capture Comparability, and encrypted on-device records. It does not include previous-versus-current photo comparisons, trend charts, or future appearance ranges.

StrandSight Pro

An active Pro subscription unlocks additional features:

• In-depth analysis for all five hair and scalp regions.
• Same-View Comparisons between adjacent check-ins when the required saved information exists.
• 1-, 3-, and 5-year Appearance Ranges based on available records and stated uncertainty.

Subscription and renewal

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Prices, currency, taxes, introductory-offer eligibility, and renewal terms are shown by the App Store before purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled according to the App Store terms. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings and restore eligible purchases in StrandSight. Deleting StrandSight data or the app does not cancel a subscription.

Availability and changes

Features may change as StrandSight improves. We may correct errors, change visual-analysis methods, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary. Historical results should be interpreted using the method and app version recorded with that check-in.

Disclaimer and limitation

StrandSight is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Appearance measurements and ranges are estimates, not guarantees. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded in your country or region.
